Gull, Grass,
and Bird Islands
Gull island: 11.5 acres in Alpena County
Bird Island: 2 acres in Alpena Couty
Grass Island: 3.25 acres in Alpena County
Gull, Grass
and Bird Islands are three islands in Lake Huron entirely owned by MNA. Because these sanctuaries serve as sensitive nesting grounds for a number of species they rated Class C sanctuaries and are not open to the public without a guide.
