This sanctuary protects land stretching from the rocky shore of Lake Superior across to Brockway Mountain Drive, where it connects with MNA’s Upson Lake Nature Sanctuary.

The impressive diversity of this site can be appreciated by following the ¾ mile trail, which takes you through four different plant communities including northern boreal forest, cedar swamp, northern bog, and finally northern dry-mesic pine forest. Along the way, pay attention to the rock outcrop known as the Copper Harbor Conglomerate. A brochure on the sanctuary is available here
