River Bend
42 Acres in Houghton County

Access to River Bend was made more difficult when the bridge over Bart Creek was washed out.  It’s still accessible, however – you just have to wade the creek or cross it at a beaver dam.

You just have to wade the creek or cross the creek at a beaver dam and go another couple feet down the road.

The surrounding area consists of abandoned homesteads and is little used or explored. A trail is marked but more commonly used by black bear than people, due to the washout.

It is suggested that you call MNA before visiting this sanctuary in order to check on current conditions.
