Located within two miles of the Canadian border, Soo Muskeg can be reached following an old railroad bed trail near the intersection of 5 Mile Rd and White Rd in Soo township. The sanctuary is a boggy marsh and home to a variety of mosses, alders, marsh marigold and bog aster. Broad-wing hawks and black-backed woodpeckers are just a couple of the birds found in the sanctuary. The sanctuary was donated by Mr. and Mrs. Edward H. Broadwell on December 28, 1980.
