Join Us for a Night of Recognition and Celebration!

Join MNA as we recognize the donors and volunteers who make our continued success possible. The 2026 Annual Fall Recognition Dinner will honor those who dedicate countless hours to MNA and reflect on another year of success.

The event will also include a complimentary dinner, photo contest winner display, presentations by staff, and a silent auction to benefit environmental education. MNA will announce those being honored with the Volunteer of the Year Award, Mason and Melvin Schafer Distinguished Service Award, and more!

Special Guest Presentation by Dr. Anton Reznicek

This year, we are excited to have Special Guest Dr. Anton (Tony) Reznicek, Former Director of the University of Michigan Herbarium, who will discuss his recent publication, “The First Survey (1837–1840), Douglass Houghton, and Michigan's Flora in 1840,” in the journal Great Lakes Botanist.

His talk will examine Michigan's historical landscapes as recorded by early botanists, providing insights that support MNA's initiatives to restore and protect rare species and natural communities across the state.

Silent Auction to Benefit Environmental Education

All proceeds from the silent auction will go to the Environmental Education Fund to provide nature education opportunities for students and families in Michigan. Items in the auction will include:

  • Guided sanctuary hikes
  • Northern cottage getaway
  • University of Michigan Herbarium Tour
  • Handmade items
  • and more!
